Application of rack jacks

The industrial rack and pinion jack is a simple and reliable design, time-tested in the most severe operating conditions. Railway workers bury our jacks in ballast in the fall, dig them out in the spring and continue to use them during routine track repairs. Although such facts indicate violations in the operation of equipment, they very accurately convey the unpretentiousness and reliability of rack-and-pinion jacks produced by the Kubanzheldormash plant. It is the fully mechanical design that allows the rack and pinion jack to be used in the most difficult conditions. Unlike “gentle” hydraulic jacks, rack and pinion jacks do not require oil, are not afraid of temperature changes, and aggressive external environment, humidity and dust. An equally important trump card of any rack and pinion jack is its versatility. Industrial rack and pinion jacks are used for preliminary hanging of parts, when performing construction and installation, repair and reloading work, as well as when repairing wagons and railway tracks. Rack jack design

Due to the simple design of the rack jack and regardless of the model, it consists of: a body with a support leg, a gear rack, a lifting mechanism (geared blocks) that move along the rack, a handle that controls the movement of the lifting mechanism, and a ratchet mechanism for fixing the spontaneous lowering of the load. The support leg and head for lifting the load are firmly welded to the body of the rack jack.

The lifting mechanism of the jack consists of gears that rotate using a drive handle. To securely fix the load at the required height, the gear on which the handle is mounted is equipped with a ratcheting mechanism with a pawl.
